Open outlook express email in windows 7

I recently had to purchase a new laptop that uses Windows 7. I was previously using Windows XP Home. I had all my files in a backup folder, but I am not able to open any of my email addresses and files in Windows 7 because only Outlook is supported. Is it possible to download the recent version of Outlook Express to use with Windows 7?
