An incentive to replay levels to collect all the gems and experience the game's true ending? Oh hell yeah! By , it's tempting as a developer to inject new life into a franchise that's been around for over a decade. But even if you have the best intentions, it's not always enough. Crash Of The Titans was the most dramatic shift the franchise had ever taken as a core title.

While there was still platforming elements, it was much more akin to a beat-em-up and a shallow one at that. While the game does get points for being pretty funny in some spots, the title as a whole is forgettable and is not the best of the franchise. Its sequel Mind Over Mutant was an improvement, but Radical Entertainment's second Crash game is nothing worth remembering.

Unlike the usual Crash Bandicoot games where players follow Crash from behind, the majority of N-Tranced is viewed from a 2D perspective. Some of you might also know that Crash likes to skate. Crash can roll around in a sphere, getting air on half pipes and pulling off made tricks as he breaks open crates. It was also one of the best original XBOX games too, because Sony had no say in what happened with this game, which is very rare in the Crash Bandicoot franchise.

It was the fifth title in the main franchise and the game follows on three years after the events of Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex.

Previously throughout the best Crash Bandicoot Games, Crash and Cortex hated each other, but this was the first game where both characters had to work together. The game had a new feel, the visuals were slightly different, humour was slightly more mature and the storyline was somewhat open, allowing you to free roam between levels. Many critics spoke highly of the game due to the slightly different layout of the game, and the awesome voice acting from Lang who was playing as Cortex in the game.

The plot keeps changing due to ammount of the game you explore, and eventually you get to paly between three different characters. Different levels will require certain characters, and the constant change keeps you on your toes, and makes discovering new skills quite rewarding.

What makes this one of the best Crash Bandicoot games ever, is simply down to the fact that the new game elements met with modern day graphics and old nostalgic gameplay blows our mind. Each Quantum Mask that you collect includes a different power from a different universe. These powers can alter levels and provide ways to overcome obstacles and puzzles in new ways never seen before in the franchise.

Three of them, Tawna, Dingdile and Cotext have their own unique levels and skills. The game designers have done a cracking job, and its one of the best Crash Bandicoot games out there to get you truly immersed! It was the first ever Crash Bandicoot game not to be developed by Naughty Dog. Of course, Stormy Ascent was cut from the original because it was just too hard, and now it only exist as an N Sane bonus. Long story short, it takes a real hardcore Bandicoot fan to tackle those levels with ease.

So, it's safe to say that it's definitely more difficult than the previous two kart racers. Plus, there are daily challenges that are quite difficult, but they're necessary to get more Nitro Points. It's one thing to play this game on "easy" mode with friends. It's a whole other to go online and try racing against pros located all across the world. Just because it's a party game does not mean it's easy. In fact, this one is a total pain!

In Crash Bash , players must complete several different mini games in order to progress. Some of these are quite difficult, including "Polar Push" which involves trying to not fall off an icy platform. Those who have played air hockey with the Hulk may find it simple, but otherwise, it can be a real pain. Plus, there are several balls flying around all at once. Some fans want this to be remastered, but it's probably best left in the past. Well, as surprising as it is, fans claim that the newest Crash 4 title is the hardest game in the series, ever.

Even hardcore Crash fans struggle with this new title. Part of what adds to its difficult is the fact that this new game includes new game modes, playable characters, and power-ups. So, for those who have never played Crash before, but plan on starting with the newest release, be prepared for a challenge.

This series may be marketed to younger folks, but that by no means indicates that it's a breeze. Nevertheless, this game is graphically appealing, and it's exciting that a new Crash game has finally shown up after all these years. What's the fun without a challenge?
